J.T.B. Butchers

The Great Story Of Our Journey

I started butchery when I was just 12 years old, helping out at a local butchers, then training as a butcher myself.  This will be my 61st Christmas this year and as I begin my retirement am handing over the reigns to my daughter Claire Randall. She has worked here for over 6 years now

Top quality meat, very friendly and knowledgeable service. I bought 10 rib eye steaks and some lamb Chump Chops for a BBQ and they were delicious. I will be returning try some of their bacon , chicken and sausages and will probably sample a scotch egg as well!!!

My family have been buying our sausages and bacon from John for years, ever since we moved to St. Albans, previously at Butlers in Marshalswick and subsequently at Sandridgebury Farm.
Quality doesn't come without cost but John and his colleagues know their business and they offer great advice on suitable cuts and best ways to cook. We try to avoid additives in our food, you can taste the difference and the comparison between supermarket meat and John's is immense if the budget fits.

Everyone is so friendly and the meat is delicious and so tastier than from a supermarket, the large pork pie is to die for

Yet to have something from there that wasn't delicious. Sausages are top draw. Especially the Sandridgebury pork sausages. Got a Topside of beef from there too. Fantastic for a Sunday roast. Always have a cheeky sausage roll for the short walk to the car, also very good. The staff are very friendly.
